General FAQs
What is AIM?
AIM stands for Accelerating Implementation Methodology. It is a research-based change management system created by Don Harrison, founder of IMA Worldwide. AIM helps you close the gap between installing a change and achieving sustained adoption.
Where did AIM come from?
AIM was developed by Don Harrison through decades of field research and practice across organizations implementing real change. The method grew from what consistently worked in day-to-day implementation, not from theory alone.
What is AIM’s core focus?
AIM focuses on implementation as a discipline. You learn to treat resistance as data, make adoption measurable, and manage the people side of change with clear actions that support sustained use in daily work.
What are the ten AIM practice areas?
The ten AIM practice areas are the core set of skills and actions AIM-trained practitioners apply during implementation. They guide how you plan, lead, support, and measure adoption across the full lifecycle of a change.
Do I need to know all ten practice areas to use AIM?
No. You can start using AIM right away, then build depth over time. Most practitioners begin with a few practice areas that match the needs of their current project, then expand as they keep applying AIM.
Who delivers the AIM programs?
Our programs are delivered by experienced AIM instructors and practitioners. We teach AIM as Accelerating Implementation Methodology, and we respect its origins with Don Harrison and IMA Worldwide. You learn practical ways to apply AIM in your organization, not just definitions.
How do I set up a flexible schedule?
Sign up, and we will work with you. Once you enroll in the flexible schedule option, we reach out, take your availability, and build the session plan together. There is nothing to figure out before enrolling: the schedule is something we create with you, not a date you have to fit.
With the flexible schedule, will I be in a group or on my own?
It depends on how schedules line up. You might join others whose availability matches yours, or the sessions might be just you and the instructor. Either way the certification, the tools, and the applied work on your real initiative are exactly the same.
Why do you offer a flexible schedule?
Because schedules change. We teach organizations to plan around how people actually work, and our own scheduling should do the same. A certification you can actually attend beats a cohort date you have to skip.
What is the flexible schedule option?
If the scheduled cohort dates do not work for you, we will build a schedule together. You tell us your availability, we match it against ours, and we arrange the sessions around both. It is the same certification with the same applied work on a real initiative, planned around your calendar instead of a fixed cohort date.
Programs FAQs
What programs do you offer?
We offer eight programs designed for change management practitioners, project and program leaders, HR and OD professionals, and internal change agents. Programs include AIM Practitioner training and certification, role-based skill builders, leader-focused workshops, and organization-wide capability builds. If you want help matching the right program to your role and urgency, contact us and we will point you to the best fit.
How long do the programs usually take?
Durations depend on the program and delivery format. Some programs run as short workshops over 1 to 2 days, while others run over several weeks with live sessions and applied work between classes. When you inquire, we will confirm the expected time commitment for your selected program and your cohort schedule.
What formats are available (live, online, in-person)?
Most programs are available in a live online format, with select options available in-person for private groups. Live sessions focus on practice, discussion, and application to real implementation work. If your organization needs a specific schedule, time zone coverage, or onsite delivery, we can scope a private delivery.
What is the class size?
Public cohorts are capped at 15 participants. This keeps sessions practice-heavy and gives you time for coaching, feedback, and discussion. Private deliveries can match the same 15-person experience or be adjusted based on your goals and the format selected.
Which programs are public cohorts vs private deliveries?
We run public cohorts for programs that work best with cross-industry peer learning and consistent start dates. We offer private deliveries for organizations that want to train an intact team, tailor examples to internal initiatives, or align to a specific rollout calendar. If you tell us your audience, timing, and outcomes, we will confirm which of the eight programs are available as public, private, or both.
Can you tailor a program for our organization?
Yes, for private deliveries. We can tailor case examples, practice activities, and application work to your implementation context while keeping the core AIM (Accelerating Implementation Methodology) principles consistent. We will also help you choose the right mix of roles to attend so the training supports real adoption, not just awareness.

Certification and Re-certification FAQs
What is Introduction to AIM, and do I need it for certification
Introduction to AIM is an entry course that teaches the core concepts and language of AIM: Accelerating Implementation Methodology, created by Don Harrison, founder of IMA Worldwide. It is the recommended starting point if you are new to AIM or want a clear foundation before moving into AIM Practitioner Certification.
What do I earn with AIM Practitioner Certification
AIM Practitioner Certification confirms you can plan and run implementation work using AIM tools and routines. You leave with a practical approach you can apply to projects, programs, and change initiatives where adoption matters.
What are the prerequisites for AIM Practitioner Certification
You should be active in change work, program or project delivery, HR or OD, or an internal implementation role. We also recommend completing Introduction to AIM first, especially if AIM is new to you, so you start the certification work with shared terms and expectations.
What deliverables will I produce during the certification process
You will build working outputs you can reuse on real initiatives, such as an implementation plan, stakeholder and adoption planning artifacts, and supporting tools for measurement and follow-through. Exact deliverables can vary by cohort or course version, but the focus stays on work you can apply, not theory.
Do I receive credits, and can they be used toward re-certification
We do not currently work on a credits system.
How long is the certification valid, and what is re-certification
Certification is 3 years and re-certification is targeted with bringing you up to speed on what is changed. in AIM This will include new tools, or new ways to run existing tools.
Tools and Subscription FAQs
What are AIM assessment tools
AIM assessment tools are practical instruments used in the Accelerating Implementation Methodology (AIM) to help you diagnose what is happening during implementation. You use them to surface risks, clarify what people need, and choose the next actions based on evidence, not assumptions.
Which courses include the AIM assessment tools
The AIM assessment tools are used inside our AIM Practitioner training and any courses where we teach AIM application and skill practice. If a course includes tools, we will state it clearly on the course page and show you where they fit in the learning activities.
Do I get access to the tools in a subscription, and what are the rules
If your enrollment includes subscription access, you can use the tools during your active subscription term. Your access is tied to your account and is meant for your professional use. If your subscription ends, tool access may end as well unless your enrollment terms state otherwise.
Can I download, copy, or share the tools with my team
You can use the tools in your own work and in your learning activities. Sharing raw tool files outside your account, reposting them, or distributing copies is not permitted unless your enrollment terms explicitly allow it. If you need team access, the best path is to enroll each practitioner or set up an organization arrangement.
Can I purchase the tools separately without enrolling in a course
In most cases, the tools are provided as part of training because we teach how to apply them correctly and how to interpret results. If you need tool-only access for an organization, contact us and tell us what tools you need, how many practitioners will use them, and your timeline.
Logistics, pricing, and enrollment FAQs
What formats are available for AIM training and certification?
We offer multiple formats based on the program: self-paced online learning, live virtual sessions, and organization-delivered cohorts. The right format depends on your goals, timeline, and whether you are enrolling as an individual or as a team.
How does pricing work?
Pricing depends on the program you choose and how you plan to use it, for example individual enrollment, team cohorts, or an organizational license. If you share your audience size, timeline, and delivery preference, we will confirm the best pricing option.
Where do I enroll?
You can enroll from the program page using the enrollment button when a public checkout is available. If you do not see an enrollment link, you may be looking at an organization-only option or a cohort that requires a quote. In that case, request a quote and we will send the right link.
Can my organization purchase seats for a group?
Yes. Many organizations purchase seats for a cohort or for a set number of practitioners. We can support centralized payment, seat assignment, and a start date that fits your rollout plan.
Do you offer organizational licensing?
Yes. Organizational licensing is available when you need consistent access for a defined group, repeat cohorts, or internal capability building. Licensing options vary by program and intended use, so we confirm scope and governance before quoting.
How do I request a quote, and what information do you need?
Send us a quote request and include: the program you are considering, number of participants, preferred format (self-paced, live virtual, or cohort), target start date, and any procurement requirements. We will reply with options, pricing, and next steps for enrollment.
Flexible schedule option FAQs
What is the flexible schedule option?
If the scheduled cohort dates do not work for you, we will build a schedule together. You tell us your availability, we match it against ours, and we arrange the sessions around both. It is the same AIM Practitioner certification with the same applied work on a real initiative, planned around your calendar instead of a fixed cohort date.
Why do you offer a flexible schedule?
Because schedules change. We teach organizations to plan around how people actually work, and our own scheduling should do the same. A certification you can actually attend is better than a cohort date you have to skip.
With the flexible schedule, will I be in a group or on my own?
It depends on how schedules line up. You might join others whose availability matches yours, or the sessions might be just you and the instructor. Either way, the certification, the tools, and the applied work on your real initiative are the same.
How do I set up a flexible schedule?
Enroll in the flexible schedule option and we will reach out to you. We will collect your availability and build the session plan together. There is nothing you need to figure out before enrolling. The schedule is something we create with you, not a date you have to fit.

AIM certification questions
Is there an online or virtual option?
Yes. We run live virtual cohorts for AIM Practitioner · Peacock Hill Consulting · Powered by IMA Worldwide, so you can complete the experience online from your location. If you prefer in person, Portland is our in-person option.
How long does it take to get AIM certified?
The AIM Practitioner Certification is completed in four days. There is no separate exam period after the course.
Does the certification expire?
Yes. The certification is good for three years. You renew through our re-certification program to keep your credential current.
Is a change management certification worth it?
It depends on what you need it to do for your work. A practical way to judge value is what you have in hand on the last day: a usable implementation plan for a real initiative you own, hands-on practice using AIM tools and assessments, ACMP QEP credits toward the CCMP, and a repeatable way to plan and drive adoption you can apply to future changes.
What kinds of change initiatives do participants bring?
Participants bring real initiatives they are responsible for. Common categories include system implementations, service redesigns, policy and compliance standards, consolidations and reorganizations, and culture programs. AI adoption and return-to-office initiatives are also explicitly eligible.
Does AIM work for AI adoption and digital transformation?
Yes. AIM (Accelerating Implementation Methodology) is built for high-uncertainty change like AI adoption and digital transformation change management. The tools keep you anchored on what actually drives adoption: sponsorship (clear ownership, decisions, and visible involvement), readiness (role and workflow impact, capability building, and local conditions), and reinforcement (measurement, feedback loops, and consequence management so new behaviors sustain). See AIM for AI change management.
Can I use my ERP or technology rollout as my certification project?
Yes. ERP change management and technology rollouts are a strong fit for the AIM Practitioner Certification project, because they often suffer from the same gap: installation is not implementation. The system can go live while adoption, role clarity, workflow changes, and sustained use lag behind. In the cohort, you apply AIM to close that gap using sponsorship, readiness, and reinforcement so the change sticks. See ERP and technology changes.
